Kate Middleton signature hats

Kate Middleton’s style has been dubbed “safe chic,” but her impeccably tailored jackets and eclectic hats are anything but boring. Her signature look is perfectly princess-appropriate.
Weeks before announcing her engagement, Kate attended the wedding of Harry Meade and Rosie Bradford in a chic cobalt dress, paired with a black blazer and standout hat.

Kate donned this elaborate headpiece at her first official royal appearance — a naming ceremony for a new royal lifeboat. Crafted for her by Vivien Sheriff Millinery, it features the insignia of the Royal Welch Fusiliers and two military tunic buttons.
For the wedding of Nicholas van Cutsem and Alice Hadden-Paton, Kate wore another one of her signature tailored jackets, this time in a periwinkle brocade. She topped off the ensemble with another chic floral hat.
Back in 2006, Kate attended Prince William’s graduation from the Royal Military Academy wearing a stunning, structured black hat with a bright red peacoat.
Attending yet another wedding, Kate chose a fitted cream blazer to wear over a lace-embellished dress — paired, of course, with an elegant black hat.
In 2006, Kate wore this eclectic feathered headpiece to the wedding of Laura Parker Bowles (daughter of Prince Charles’s wife Camilla).
Showing off her casual style, Kate topped off her monochromatic ensemble with a fedora at the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival in 2008.
Kate went Western with this cowboy-inspired hat at the Gatcombe Park Festival of British Eventing in 2005.
For the summertime wedding of Lady Rose Windsor, Kate finished off her pastel ensemble with a black feathered headpiece.
